Second Race this year for our 2.5-16V.

After that performance last race we were somewhat motivated!

Arriving at the Nordschleife Friday afternoon we saw dark clouds and the whole test-drive was under raining conditions…

But again, the Eifel would not be the Eifel if weather wouldn’t change very quick.

Next morning sun was out and except for some localised rain showers during the race in the afternoon it kept stable.

Oli had prepared the car perfectly, as usual.

Qualifying session started with Jens. Actually not seeing that fast laps as last week. One long yellow flag section during his last stint avoided us from having the Black-Falcon 416 and Stern von Willich 435 in sparking distance during the start of the race. Roland following Jensens 4 laps came in slowly driving after his third round with warning-lights-on. He couldn’t switch gears any more… Oli and the mechanix could fix the problem quickly and we prepared the car for the race.

The four-hours race was stable, Roland drove the first stint, following Jens, and the last laps agin with Roland. We came in fourth of our peer-group V4 (after BMW Stotz Motte beenig disqualified) from 8 starters. Overall 55th from some 165 vehicles on the track.
